Ocean Hills Brochure (Hard Copy) ...and on the WEB!!!

One of our members, Fred O'Hara, has recently taken photographs with his Maxima 35 mm camera of Ocean Hills and many of its amenities, social groups and physical attractions. The pictures were scanned from the negatives on the Club's HP PhotoSmart film scanner.  They were all scanned at 3 1/2 X 5 inches (as no large blowups were anticipated) which utilized 1.14 mgb and were saved as .TIFF files.

They were printed on Hammermill "Jet Print Ultra Matte" paper.  This paper provides good color reproduction and costs only $8.99 per 100 sheets at Staples.

The negatives are Kodak Gold processed by Costco for $2.99.  Fred has purchased a color refill kit from Paradise Online, which he used with excellent results.  If you prefer not to refill your cartridges--black and color cartridges can be purchased at a reasonable cost from Barcode Printers, 3365 Mission Avenue (southwest corner of El Camino Real).

Fred has put together two 6 page brochures (pictured below) which are currently being used by the Homeowners Association and the Recreation Department of Ocean Hills Country Club.  They are being used to show prospective residents the amenities, social clubs and physical attractions.

We have taken the original .TIFF files and converted them to .GIF files and reduced the size to approximately 320 by 200 pixels.  Most files  are about 70 kb in size, which while not small--lend themselves to showing a rather good picture over the internet.  Those with cable modems will, of course, get quicker downloads with files of that size.

Below we have listed the pages and a few of the individual pictures.  Click on the either to view it.  You can view all the pages (6) starting with Page 1 and clicking NEXT!
